UPCOMING CLASSES and WORKSHOPS I would love to connect with you and share opportunities for yoga and mindfulness practices with The Pure Light Yoga !!! After taking some time off in 2021 to grieve the death of my father and take care of my mother, I am more committed than ever about sharing my passion for yoga and creating new offerings for yoga and mindfulness practices. During this time away from teaching , I completed my 300 hr YTT in Yoga Psychology and have so many new tools in my toolbox!! I have also recently completed my 200 hour Meditation Certification Teacher Training . My personal yoga and meditation practices have given me the tools to stay grounded and connected as I maneuvered my way through life during such a difficult time. I encourage and invite you to find ways to help you along your journey when the road gets bumpy…… whether it is yoga asana, breathwork, meditation, journaling, dancing, walking in the woods, or simply immersing yourself in nature. Find your healing and comfort source and go there often. Give yourself permission to let go, let it be and embrace the healing and transformation that can evolve from the painful and challenging experiences in life. A slow paced, meditative practice increases peace and happiness and helps connect us to a clearer sense of identity, meaning and purpose. In my gentle, traditional classes, movement is coordinated with the breath which increases the awareness of body, mind and soul and keeps us in the present moment.
My passion is working with youth and women in transition, helping them find their unique light through physical postures ( asana), breathwork (pranayama), affirmations (mantra) and meditation.
I earned my 300hr YTT in Yoga Psychology with Ashley Turner Yoga.Psyche.Soul. in Santa Monica, California, my 95 hr YTT in Children’s Yoga and Mindfulness with Flow and Grow Kid’s Yoga in Brooklyn, New York and my 200 hr YTT through Kaivalyadhama Institute in India. I also hold certifications in Trauma Informed Yoga, Warriors at Ease , Yoga of 12 Step Recovery and Reiki Master Practitioner.

Being outdoors in nature can be very beneficial in calming and centering the mind therefore a lot of my classes are held outside. I enjoy partnering with my community in order to offer indoor and outdoor classes in nature for both youth and adults.
I am currently partnering with Weeks Farm to offer nature yoga , and chair yoga with creative expression through art for those who are looking for a unique yoga experience in my community,
I have also partnered with Possumwood Acres Wildlife Sanctuary, Pogie’s Fishing Center, Pogie’s Kid’s Adventure Camp, Autism Society of NC, Brigade Boys and Girls Club, Muttigan's Pet Grooming, Sacred Soul Healing Arts and The GYM Cape Carteret Aquatic and Wellness.
